Moanalua volleyball team secures five-set win over Kahuku

VolleyballMoanalua, ranked No. 2, defeated No. 7 Kahuku in a five-set match on September 16 at Na Menehune’s gym. Moanalua improved to 5-0 in OIA East play and 27-4 overall, winning 25-20, 20-25, 15-25, 25-22, 21-19. Surfia Grounds starred with 19 kills, including six in the final set, and Alessandra Siazon made a pivotal block on match point. Kahuku, now 3-2 in league play and 12-11 overall, put up a strong fight, even coming back from a 2-0 deficit in the final set. Moanalua’s next match details are yet to be announced.
