Mobile Sports Hall of Fame inducts 2026 class at ceremony

The Mobile Sports Hall of Fame celebrated its 2026 Class on June 16 at the Mitchell Center in Mobile, Alabama. The new inductees are Derrick Burroughs, Derrick Coleman, Joe Niland, and Eric Yelding. Burroughs, a former NFL defensive back, had a significant playing and coaching career. Coleman, an NBA All-Star and first overall NBA draft pick, garnered numerous accolades during his collegiate and professional tenure. Niland coached at both Spring Hill College and the University of Mobile, earning multiple titles. Yelding, a former Major League Baseball shortstop, was recognized for his contributions on the field after being selected in the first round of the draft.
