Mohammed Shami claimed 4/30 for Bengal as they bowled Delhi out for 240 on the opening day of their Group C Ranji Trophy match in Kalyani on October 11. Delhi's Hrithik Shokeen top-scored with 56 runs off 98 balls. Akash Deep and Mukesh Kumar contributed two and one wickets, respectively, alongside off-spinner Amir Ghani, who took three. In other Group C matches, Jharkhand scored 289/5 against Kerala and Odisha reached 272/3 against Gujarat.
