Moisés Caicedo misses Chelsea Carabao Cup match against Leeds due to injury

Moisés Caicedo will not play in the Chelsea Carabao Cup match against Leeds on Wednesday, Sept. 9, as he continues recovery from a recurring calf injury. Manager Xabi Alonso confirmed the midfielder's absence, noting that he may have prematurely returned Caicedo to action during the previous match against Brighton. The player remains in training, but the club intends to avoid further risks with his recovery. Chelsea will also be without Marco Palestra, Emmanuel Emegha, and Jordan Henderson for the midweek fixture. Alonso stated the team will evaluate the injured players on a game-by-game basis as they continue their return to fitness.
