Monaco expresses interest in Erik Lira from Cruz Azul

AS Monaco has reportedly shown interest in acquiring Erik Lira, a midfielder for CD Cruz Azul. Lira, 26, has made four appearances for Mexico at the World Cup and is seen as a potential replacement for Aladji Bamba, recently transferred to Newcastle United. Monaco may also seek Lira to fill the gap left by Lamine Camara, who could be leaving the club during the transfer window. Currently, no formal agreement has been reached, but Monaco’s management has initiated discussions regarding a possible transfer. Lira has established himself as a key player at Cruz Azul since joining the team from UNAM Pumas in January 2022.
