Monique Conti leads AFLW coaches award leaderboard after round three

Richmond midfielder Monique Conti claimed the top spot on the AFL Coaches Association's AFLW Champion Player of the Year leaderboard following a 10-vote performance against Essendon. Conti recorded 29 disposals, 10 clearances, six tackles, and a goal during the Dreamtime clash at TIO Stadium. She now holds 28 total votes, putting her one clear of North Melbourne player Ash Riddell. Round three featured five players receiving perfect 10-vote scores from the coaches, including Conti, Montana Ham, Tahlia Gillard, Georgie Prespakis, and Erone Fitzpatrick. With the home and away season in its early stages, the award remains open as coaches continue to rank players on a 5-4-3-2-1 basis for each match. The leaderboard tracks the best performers across the league, with several players, including Ally Morphett, Olivia Purcell, and Lucy Wales, currently sitting within reach of the lead at 25 votes.
