Montana State defeated Northern Arizona 28-14 on Saturday at home, improving to 5-0 and 2-0 in the Big Sky Conference. Patrick Duchien threw for a touchdown and added two rushing scores in his first career start. Colson Coon led the ground game with 199 rushing yards. Northern Arizona fell to 3-1 and also holds a 2-0 conference record. The Lumberjacks could not convert on key fourth downs throughout the game. Montana State, the reigning FCS national champion, has now claimed 19 consecutive victories, the longest current streak in Division I trailing Indiana's 20 wins. Montana State will face Idaho next Friday while Northern Arizona heads to Idaho State next Saturday.

Montana State (5-0, 2-0 Big Sky Conference), the defending FCS national champion, has won a program-record 19 consecutive games, the second-longest active streak of its kind in Division I (Indiana, 20). Colson Coon started in place of Adam Jones and had 199 yards rushing on 18 carries for the Bobcats, who are ranked No. 1 in the Stats Perform poll.
