Montorie Foster Jr. earns spot on Seattle Seahawks 53-man roster

Michigan State alumnus Montorie Foster Jr. has secured a permanent spot on the Seattle Seahawks' 53-man roster for the upcoming season. The wide receiver spent the offseason competing for the role after joining the organization last year during its Super Bowl run. Foster’s path to the active roster was documented on the HBO series Hard Knocks, which detailed his transition from substitute teaching to professional football. Although he did not record statistics during his time with the team last season, his performance during training camp and the preseason earned him a position in the receiving corps alongside Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Rashid Shaheed, and Cooper Kupp. Throughout the preseason, he caught two of his five targets for 34 yards. The team confirmed his place on the final roster as they prepare for the regular season schedule.
