Montreal Canadiens open rookie camp ahead of September exhibition games

The Montreal Canadiens begin their rookie camp on September 11 at the CN Sports Complex in Brossard. The prospect roster includes 23 players, consisting of 13 forwards, seven defencemen, and three goaltenders. Following the initial sessions in Brossard, the team will relocate to Gatineau for two exhibition games at the Slush Puppy Centre against the Winnipeg Jets on September 12 and the Ottawa Senators on September 13. The camp schedule concludes on September 15 after an annual golf tournament at the Laval-sur-le-Lac Golf Club. Several prospects, including Tyler Thorpe, Owen Protz, and Luke Mittelstadt, are expected to draw attention during these sessions. The main training camp for the Canadiens organization is set to commence on September 16, shortly after the conclusion of the rookie event.
