Montreal Canadiens' Texier exceeds expectations in player evaluation

Montreal Canadiens forward Alexandre Texier has exceeded expectations following his two-year contract with the team. Initially signed after a contract termination with the Columbus Blue Jackets, Texier produced eight goals and 12 assists in 43 games. His performance was particularly strong at even strength, ranking sixth on the team in points per 60 minutes. However, his contributions on the power play were below par, finishing with just 1.3 points per 60, the second lowest on the team. Texier will continue to be an asset for the Canadiens for another year under his current contract, which is viewed as low-risk.
