Monty Hunt transfers to Tennessee for the 2026 football season

Defensive back Monty Hunt has committed to the University of Tennessee ahead of the 2026 football season. Hunt, who previously played at Tennessee Tech, entered the NCAA transfer portal in January, seeking a return of his JUCO year. During his time at Tennessee Tech from 2024 to 2025, he recorded 10 tackles and four pass break-ups over 12 games. Before joining Tennessee Tech, Hunt played at Palomar College, where he made 33 tackles and secured one interception across 19 games. His commitment adds depth to Tennessee's defensive backfield as the season approaches.
