Morehead State football defeated Kentucky Christian 75-24 on Thursday, Sept. 3, at Phil Simms Stadium. The Eagles accumulated 68 points before halftime, falling five points short of the FCS first-half scoring record set by Montana State in 1985. The offensive effort included 10 touchdowns in the first two quarters, featuring three passing plays of 40-plus yards and two interception returns for touchdowns. Quarterback David Parsons completed 10 of 14 passes for 304 yards and five scores during the opening half. The team finished the game with 604 total yards, including 406 passing and 198 rushing, but added only one touchdown in the second half. Morehead State returns to play on Sept. 12 with a road game against Austin Peay.
