Moto2 considers future options for chassis competition ahead of 2029

Moto2 is at a pivotal moment as discussions about its chassis competition structure continue. Triumph, the class's exclusive engine supplier, has confirmed that the current formula will remain unchanged through at least 2029. This follows a similar shift in Moto3, which will adopt a single-spec approach starting in 2028. Triumph's product manager, Steve Sargent, indicated that while there has been interest from potential new chassis manufacturers, no changes will occur before 2027. The ongoing collaboration with Kalex, Boscoscuro, and Forward chassis will persist, even as MotoGP evolves with its new specifications starting in 2027. Future decisions on Moto2’s chassis structure remain uncertain, emphasizing the need for a direct feeder series to MotoGP until at least 2031.
