Mount Carmel faces Libertyville in Class 4A state semifinals

Mount Carmel's baseball team faced defending champion Libertyville in the Class 4A state semifinals at Slammers Stadium in Joliet on June 12. Senior catcher Mario Medina contributed with one hit and a key defensive play, but the Caravan lost 3-1. Despite trailing 3-0 entering the seventh inning, Mount Carmel rallied to score one run.
