Mourinho starts Vinicius Jr. against Villarreal despite poor form

Jose Mourinho plans to start Vinicius Jr. in Real Madrid's upcoming match against Villarreal, despite the winger's challenging season. Vinicius has struggled with his performance, recording only one goal and three assists in the first eight matches. His position remains unchanged amid the club's urgent need to close a six-point gap to leaders Barcelona. Yan Diomande, who has shown promise, will begin on the bench. Mourinho is hopeful that keeping Vinicius in the lineup will help him regain his confidence and improve Madrid's attacking output.
