Mt. Vernon basketball standout Max Vise commits to Bellarmine

Max Vise, a 6-foot-8 senior at Mt. Vernon, announced his commitment to the Division I basketball program at Bellarmine on Tuesday. The decision followed an official visit to the Louisville-based school last week. Vise, a core Indiana Junior All-Star, chose the Knights after a recruitment process that included interest from Ball State and Indiana Wesleyan. During his junior season, Vise helped lead the Marauders to a Class 4A state championship, recording averages of 14.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks per game. He cited the program's focus on team chemistry and a positionless style of play as primary factors in his commitment. Vise enters his final high school season expected to take on an expanded leadership role for the Marauders.
