Mujaid Sadick joins Rayo Vallecano on loan from Genk

Genk defender Mujaid Sadick has joined Rayo Vallecano on a loan deal. The 26-year-old returns to Spain after spending three seasons with the Belgian side. Sadick joined Genk in 2021 from Deportivo A Coruna and logged 166 appearances for the club, including 49 matches during the previous season. Rayo Vallecano currently looks to bolster its defensive rotation following a difficult start to the LaLiga season. The club has secured one draw and two losses through its opening three league matches. It remains unconfirmed whether the loan agreement includes a purchase option for the defender. Rayo Vallecano previously reached the Conference League final last season despite failing to qualify for European competition this year.
