Murat Gassiev faces Peter Kadiru in WBA heavyweight title fight in Moscow

Murat Gassiev is set to defend his WBA heavyweight title against Peter Kadiru at the VTB Arena in Moscow on July 11. Gassiev, with a record of 33-2 and 26 knockouts, became the full WBA heavyweight champion after Oleksandr Usyk relinquished his titles. Kadiru, holding a record of 23-1, comes into the match after winning a decision over Senad Gashi in May. The event also features a co-main bout where Joe Joyce returns from a 15-month layoff to face Artem Suslenkov.
