Murfreesboro area TSSAA athletes of the week polls open until Aug. 27

The voting for the Murfreesboro area TSSAA boys and girls athlete of the week for Aug. 17-23 has commenced, with polls closing at 2 p.m. CT on Aug. 27. Among the boys' nominees are Tristan Thornton from Blackman football, who had a touchdown and made significant contributions in a win over Clarksville, and Jacob Vaughn from Oakland football, who scored two touchdowns in a decisive victory against CPA. For the girls, Claire Morgan from Blackman soccer is nominated for scoring two goals and assisting three in a win against Smyrna. Other nominees include Emma Bland, Madelyn Brock, and Eva Birkofer in various sports.
