My dad helped England win the World Cup,' says daughter of team doctor

Summary

Annie Onions recalls her late father, Dr. Neil Phillips, who was the England football team's doctor during the 1966 World Cup. Phillips, who passed away in 2015, expressed immense pride in his role with the squad that won England's first World Cup. Onions shared fond memories of her father's connections with players like Bobby Moore and the challenges he faced working with a small medical team. England seeks to replicate that success in the upcoming World Cup this summer in North America.
