Mykhailo Mudryk returns to Chelsea after ban, Xabi Alonso urges caution

Summary

Chelsea's Mykhailo Mudryk has returned to the squad for their pre-season tour in Hong Kong after serving a one-year, eight-month ban for a doping violation. Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso emphasized the need for patience regarding Mudryk's reintegration, stating that readiness for competitive play is uncertain. Mudryk has not played since November 2024 and trained privately during his absence. Chelsea now has several wing options, raising questions about Mudryk's role moving forward.
