Myles Garrett misses practice before the Rams travel to Melbourne

The Los Angeles Rams departed for Melbourne on Tuesday night without defensive end Myles Garrett participating in the final practice session. Garrett has dealt with knee swelling throughout the summer and remained sidelined during Tuesday's scheduled work. Despite the missed practice, head coach Sean McVay confirmed that Garrett is expected to play in Thursday's season opener. The Rams acquired the reigning Defensive Player of the Year in a trade this June. Aaron Donald, who has not played in an NFL game since 2023, remains with the team and worked in a limited capacity on Tuesday. Additional players including Tyler Higbee, Alaric Jackson, Jaylen Watson, and Byron Young did not participate in the session due to rest or injury concerns. Grant Stuard was limited during the practice due to a hamstring injury.
