"Teletubbies compete in the Infinite Rumble. | Mystery Wrestling’s YouTube Channel Mystery Wrestling, an independent promotion based in Canada, recently set what it claims is the world record for the longest-ever wrestling match with a Royal Rumble-style event. Dubbed “Infinite Rumble,” the event began on Monday (June 22) and wrapped up 21 hours, 58 minutes, and 49 seconds later. It featured 243 participants entering the ring in timed intervals, and true to the independent spirit of the event, a lot of unconventional characters competed. Some of the names in the event that one may not immediately associate with pro wrestling were the Teletubbies, the Power Rangers, Marvel’s Deadpool, some Minions, and Batman. If that wasn’t kooky enough, both Santa Claus and The Grinch made appearances, while horror movies were represented by Freddy Krueger, Ghostface from Scream, and Freddy Fazbear from Five Nights at Freddy’s. View this post on Instagram Mystery Wrestling, which was founded by AEW star Evil Uno in 2019, also claims to hold the previous record of the longest-ever wrestling match set during last year’s rumble, which carried on for 21 hours, 49 minutes, and 12 seconds. On the official Mystery Wrestling website, the promotion describes itself as “a professional wrestling show where every match-type and pro wrestler who appears on the show is a mystery! Hosted by pro wrestler Evil Uno and a special guest, you never truly know what will happen at Mystery Wrestling.” A tagline on the Mystery Wrestling site also proudly proclaims: “Pro Wrestling That Is Too Dumb To Be AI.” The Infinite Rumble streamed live on YouTube and Twitch. It ended with Cool Ref as the winner after he tossed out Stu Grayson, who formed The Dark Order faction with Evil Uno in AEW. Cool Ref wins the #InfiniteRumble! The latter organization honors Phrank Morin, an indie wrestler who passed away from cancer at the age of 23. Share any thoughts you may have on the Infinite Rumble in the comments below.
