Following the Cup Series race at Richmond Raceway on August 15, NASCAR announced that four cars—driven by Austin Cindric, Chase Elliott, Christopher Bell, and Shane van Gisbergen—will undergo further engine dyno testing at the NASCAR Research & Development Center. Joey Logano's victory at the event remains official, as his No. 22 Ford cleared post-race inspection without issues. Although the selected cars are set for additional evaluations, there are no indications of any rules violations. The next Cup Series race will take place at New Hampshire Motor Speedway before the season finale at Daytona International Speedway.
