Nasser Hussain urges Pakistan to play fearless cricket against India

Summary

Former England captain Nasser Hussain has emphasized that Pakistan must adopt a bold approach as they prepare to face India in their Group 1 match at the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026 in Edgbaston on June 14. Hussain believes that a cautious strategy will not suffice against a strong Indian side, which he perceives as significantly ahead in women's cricket, partly due to the success of the Women’s Premier League. He highlighted the importance of targeting Smriti Mandhana, whom he considers a key threat for India at the top of the order. Hussain’s assessment comes as the teams gear up for a crucial encounter that will shape their tournament trajectories.
