"A major Hollywood production company is possibly interested in turning Natalya’s life story into a motion picture, according to a new report. As Cain A. Knight mentioned in his latest Rumor Roundup for Cageside Seats, WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select reported that Nattie Neidhart’s memoir has drawn some interest from Hollywood. Nattie’s memoir, The Last Hart Beating: From the Dungeon to WWE, was released last year and covers various aspects of her time in the world of wrestling, as well as stories about her famous family. Anecdotes in the book feature her father, Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart, her uncles Bret and Owen Hart, and her grandfather Stu Hart. She also writes about the injury that ended the career of her husband, TJ Wilson. Natalya’s own wrestling career began to take shape when she signed with WWE in 2007. After spending time in the company’s developmental system, she quickly rose to the top of the women’s division. She is currently the longest tenured female wrestler in the company and holds a number of professional wrestling records with the Guinness Book of World Records. According to the WrestleVotes report regarding the biopic: “Sources indicate a top tier, A-list production company is already looking to be involved” with the possibility of turning Neidhart’s book into a film, and several Hollywood names have “expressed strong interest.” The Wrestling Observer’s Figure Four Online noted that Natalya referenced work on a project in an Instagram post in which she tagged actor Rory Culkin and Yale Productions. She has also previously talked about some hypothetical casting for her family. While appearing on the Lightweights Podcast in 2024, Neidhart was asked by host Joe Vulpis about The Iron Claw, the A24 film chronicling the Von Erich family of wrestlers. The discussion led to her being asked who should play her family if a biopic was made about the Harts. For her father, Natalya chose Paul Walter Hauser, a respected actor and occasional wrestler. As for who should play her, Nattie named one of the most well-known actresses in Hollywood. “I love Sydney Sweeney, so I’m like, ‘Sydney Sweeney should play Nattie,’” she said while laughing. “I think Sydney Sweeney should play me. I think she’s so talented, and she’s so pretty. So I’m gonna to go with somebody that’s really pretty.” What do you think, Cagesiders? Would you pay to see a Nattie biopic? And who would be your casting choices? Let us know in the comments.
