Blehm played a pivotal role in leading Wellington to its first-ever state tournament appearance, finishing with a 6-2 record and a 1.80 ERA on the mound. Offensively, he recorded a.312 batting average with 10 RBIs., Blehm helped Wellington achieve its first state tournament win with a complete-game performance against Delta. He received 47.3% of the vote in a competitive selection process, edging runner-up Dylan Rubenstein of Fort Collins baseball by a narrow margin of one-tenth of a percent.
