Nathan Cleary faces potential suspension after admitting to foul play

Nathan Cleary of the Penrith Panthers has acknowledged his mistake in a recent match against the Sydney Roosters, where he was sin-binned for dangerous contact just before halftime. The Panthers' star halfback attempted a charge down that inadvertently resulted in contact with Roosters player Hugo Savala. Cleary returned to the field in the 50th minute, and despite his penalty, the Panthers advanced towards a preliminary final berth. Following the match, he expressed guilt over his actions and is awaiting a decision from the NRL’s match review committee regarding potential suspension. The Panthers will prepare for their next matchup against the winner of the New Zealand Warriors and Newcastle Knights.
