Nathan Pavelski drafted by Kitchener Rangers in OHL Priority Selection

Nathan Pavelski, son of former San Jose Sharks captain Joe Pavelski, was selected by the Kitchener Rangers in the ninth round of the OHL Priority Selection on June 14, 2026. Nathan, a San Jose native, previously played for the Madison Capitols U15 AAA team, scoring 27 goals and 69 points over the past season. He also showcased his skills at the OHL Cup, where he recorded five points in five games. The younger Pavelski has other options for next season, having also been selected by the Waterloo Black Hawks and the Janesville Jets in prior drafts. His addition to the Rangers brings potential opportunities, particularly given his father's coaching links with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
