NBA investigation into Kawhi Leonard could extend into 2027

The NBA's investigation into the Los Angeles Clippers and Kawhi Leonard may last until 2027 due to unresolved issues about salary cap circumvention. The inquiry, initiated over possible violations related to a $28 million endorsement deal, has stalled a potential trade sending Leonard to the Toronto Raptors. Reports indicate that Leonard, alongside his uncle and former agent, is implicated in a new investigation tied to a stadium development project in Rhode Island that received significant public funding but has seen no construction progress. The Raptors have announced they will wait for the investigation's outcome before pursuing any deal.
