NCAA Baseball updates include regional results and Rutgers connection

Several teams from the east of the Mississippi are participating in the NCAA Baseball Tournament. Virginia Tech (30-26) was eliminated by Cal Poly and UCLA in their regional. Boston College (37-23) matched their program's win record but also exited early. Liberty reached the CUSA Championship Game, while Rider earned a tournament bid but fell to Florida and Troy. St. John's advanced to the Super Regional after beating Florida State twice. Rutgers, not in this year's tournament, could benefit from observing its regional competitors' performances.
