Nearly one thousand swimmers participate in Danube Crossing in Budapest

On August 30, nearly one thousand participants swam across the Danube River in Budapest during the Generali OWT Danube Swim. This marked the event's return after six years, with significant safety measures, including the closure of the river to traffic for four hours. Organizers stated that the stretch used for the swim is safe and clean, allowing swimmers to experience Budapest from a unique perspective. The event took place as part of the Generali Night Run sports festival, featuring various activities in iconic locations throughout the city.
