Nebraska and Missouri volleyball match suspended due to court moisture

The Big Ten/SEC Volleyball Challenge at Wrigley Field in Chicago experienced a mid-match suspension on September 6 after excessive moisture made the court unplayable. Only 18 points were completed during the contest between Nebraska and Missouri before officials called a halt to the game. Despite the suspension, the event drew an attendance of 43,067 fans. Earlier in the day, Kentucky secured a win against Penn State in the first match of the challenge. Nebraska coaches and players addressed the crowd following the suspension to thank fans for their attendance. The event marked the first time the venue hosted college volleyball matches.
