Nebraska defensive coordinator Rob Aurich challenges players before matchup with Ohio

Nebraska defensive coordinator Rob Aurich is preparing his unit for their upcoming contest against Ohio. As the Huskers finalize their game plan, Aurich has issued a specific directive to his defensive squad, encouraging them to adopt an aggressive mentality by moving into a mental "dark place" during the game. This shift is part of an effort to instill a new defensive approach for the Huskers throughout the 2026 season. Aurich stated he is confident that his personnel are ready to execute these demands on the field. The team remains in the preparation phase as they evaluate their strategy for the visit from Ohio.
