Nebraska men’s basketball enters ESPN’s Way-Too-Early Top 25 at No. 22

The Nebraska Cornhuskers are ranked No. 22 in ESPN's 2026-27 Way-Too-Early Top 25. Coming off a historic season with a 28-7 record, they reached the Sweet Sixteen for the first time. Nebraska returns key players such as first-team All-Big Ten pick Pryce Sandfort and Big Ten Sixth Man of the Year Braden Frager. Coach Fred Hoiberg has also added several transfers, including Trevan Leonhardt, Sam Orme, and Boden Kapke, contributing to the team's anticipated success. The Cornhuskers will kick off the new season with an exhibition game against Saint Louis on October 9.
