Nebraska sweeps South Dakota State before record crowd in Brookings

The Nebraska volleyball team defeated South Dakota State in a three-set match on Wednesday at the First Bank and Trust Arena in Brookings. A crowd of 5,113 fans attended the event, marking the largest attendance for a volleyball match in the history of South Dakota. While Nebraska completed a sweep, South Dakota State managed its highest scoring output against the top-ranked team this season during the second set. The match served as a homecoming for Nebraska setter Bergen Reilly, a graduate of O'Gorman High School who played before family and local supporters. South Dakota State head coach Dan Georgalas noted the program's significant growth since its 2021 relaunch. Both coaching staffs acknowledged the intense atmosphere created by the home crowd throughout the competition.
