Nebraska volleyball faces suspension at Wrigley Field following football season openers

The Big Ten-SEC Volleyball Challenge match between Nebraska and Missouri at Wrigley Field was suspended due to humidity concerns inside the venue. The event, which followed a contest between Penn State and Kentucky, faced delays before officials halted play. Nebraska previously defeated DePaul in a three-set sweep at Wintrust Arena on Friday. In football, the Nebraska Cornhuskers opened their season with a 49-21 victory over Ohio at Memorial Stadium. Running back Jamal Rule recorded over 100 rushing yards in his debut, becoming the first true freshman at the position to reach that mark for the team since 2004. Recruiting efforts continued alongside the victory as over 30 prospective players attended the game in Lincoln.
