Nebraska volleyball secures commitment from middle blocker Shayla Rautenberg

Shayla Rautenberg, a 6-foot-3 middle blocker from Milford High School, has verbally committed to the Nebraska volleyball program as its first recruit for the Class of 2028. Rautenberg excelled in both volleyball and basketball, leading her volleyball team to a state title while averaging.366 hitting with 47 aces. She stated her commitment on social media, expressing her gratitude towards her coaches and the significance of joining a program with a family legacy, as her mother, Lisa Reitsma, was a former All-American for the Huskers. Rautenberg ranks highly among her peers, being listed as both the top middle blocker and among the top overall prospects in her class by major scouting services.
