Nebraska's Lori Sippel and Diane Miller named Assistant Coach of the Year finalists

Lori Sippel and Diane Miller, assistant coaches for Nebraska's softball team, have been named finalists for the 2026 Assistant Coach of the Year award. Their contributions helped lead the Huskers to a 52-8 record, tying a program record for wins in a season. Nebraska also set a school record with a 27-game win streak and achieved a 23-1 mark in Big Ten play, the most in program history. Sippel coordinated the pitching staff, which ranked in the top 10 nationally in several categories, while Miller oversaw an offense that finished in the top 25 for multiple statistical categories. The winner will be announced on August 31.
