Netflix censors Brock Lesnar's shirt during WWE Raw replays
Summary

During the July 12 episode of Monday Night Raw, streaming service Netflix blurred the offensive word on Brock Lesnar's t-shirt reading "Talk Sh*t, Get Hit". This follows Netflix's previous editing practices, including blurring Bron Breakker's head in cage match replays. The measures seem to reflect Netflix's stricter content standards compared to WWE's own guidelines. Critics noted this approach appears inconsistent for a show that often features violence. Fans are discussing the implications of these ongoing edits.

(Photo by Cooper Neil/WWE via Getty Images) | WWE via Getty Images Signs were there from the beginning, Netflix edited the first offering produced by its multi-billion dollar partnership with WWE, after all. Still, we were a little surprised when the streaming company blurred Bron Breakker’s entire head to save us from seeing his bloody face in replays of Breakker’s cage match with Seth Rollins at Night of Champions earlier this month — especially because WWE didn’t seem to have any problem with it. More confirmation that Netflix’s standards are stricter than even the company some wrestling fans still mock for “going PG” comes on the replay version of the July 12 Raw. For his appearance to kick off this past Monday’s show, Brock Lesnar wore a t-shirt that read, “Talk Sh*t, Get Hit”. Everyone knows what the asterisk is in place of, so we’d agree it might as well not even have been there. Netflix agreed, because they put a black bar over the whole word on replays: Brock Lesnar’s already censored ‘Talk Sh*t Get Hit’ shirt has been edited on the replay version of the show on Netflix which has now removed the word ‘sh*t’ entirely now. But lots of things I think are nonsense are the norm nowadays, and I can’t get too worked up about this one. Annoying, but not something I’m thinking about too much at this point. How about you? What’s your reaction to Netflix’s latest WWE edit?
