The Brooklyn Nets are pursuing Oklahoma City Thunder guard Cason Wallace and New Orleans Pelicans forward Trey Murphy III, according to reports. Following a disappointing 2025-26 season that saw them finish with a 20-62 record, the Nets hold the No. 6 overall pick in the upcoming 2026 NBA Draft. They are likely looking to use their substantial cap space this summer for trades rather than free-agent signings. Acquiring Wallace might be feasible given Oklahoma City's current financial constraints. Meanwhile, adding Murphy or Boston's Jaylen Brown would require significant offers. Brooklyn could have up to $40 million in cap space depending on other transactions.
