New England Patriots add speedster Nick DeGennaro as wide receiver

The New England Patriots added wide receiver Nick DeGennaro to their roster as an undrafted free agent. DeGennaro joins the team after a college career that included stints at Maryland, Richmond, and James Madison. He is noted for his speed, recorded at 4.40 seconds for the 40-yard dash, and his ability to make catches outside his frame. DeGennaro will compete for a depth role as the Patriots look to bolster their receiving corps following free-agent signings and trades. The team opted not to draft a wide receiver in 2026, further emphasizing the importance of DeGennaro's performance during training camp.
