New England Patriots face Seattle Seahawks in 2026 NFL season opener

The New England Patriots open their 2026-2027 NFL season tonight against the Seattle Seahawks at Lumen Field in Seattle, Washington. The game serves as a rematch of Super Bowl LX, which the Seahawks won this past February. New England enters the matchup with Drake Maye returning at quarterback. Cornerback Christian Gonzalez signed a four-year, $135-million contract extension with the Patriots less than two days before the contest, making him the highest-paid cornerback in league history. Kickoff for the season opener is scheduled for 8:20 p.m. Eastern Time. Fans can view the broadcast on NBC, or access the game through streaming services including Fubo, NFL+, Peacock, Sling TV, and YouTube TV.
