New England Patriots sign former Buffalo Bills tight end Shane Zylstra

The New England Patriots added tight end Shane Zylstra to their practice squad on Wednesday. The move follows his release from the Buffalo Bills during final roster cuts earlier this week. Zylstra competed for a spot in Buffalo but was crowded out by the performance of Keleki Latu, who secured a roster position as the team opted to carry four tight ends. Across 35 career NFL games, Zylstra has recorded 18 catches for 136 yards and four touchdowns. Beyond his receiving contributions, he brings experience on special teams units, having played significant snaps for the Detroit Lions in previous seasons. He will now look to earn a larger role on the New England depth chart.
