New England Revolution sign midfielder Dániel Gazdag as a free agent

The New England Revolution signed Dániel Gazdag on Tuesday following the midfielder's mutual contract termination with the Columbus Crew. The 30-year-old Hungarian international joins the club on a contract running through December 2027, with team options extending through the 2028-29 MLS season. Gazdag brings significant experience to New England, having previously recorded 70 goals and 37 assists over 180 matches during his six-year MLS tenure with Columbus and the Philadelphia Union. He joins an attacking unit that features Carles Gil, Jack Harrison, and Peyton Miller. The Revolution currently hold fourth place in the Eastern Conference with 37 points. Under the direction of head coach Marko Mitrović, the team aims to utilize Gazdag to bolster their attack as they pursue a spot in the Audi MLS Cup Playoffs.
