New Haven Gridiron Club inducts 12 members into hall of fame

The New Haven Gridiron Club will hold its 42nd annual Hall of Fame dinner on September 9, 2026, at Woodwinds in Branford. The event honors 12 individuals for their contributions to football, including former Southern Connecticut State University player and actor Dan Lauria. Joining Lauria in the class are Richard Del Buono, George Rose, Charles Goodwyn, Jeff Farmer, James Lewis, Rocco DeMaio, Jr., Garland Eugene Patton, Sr., Louis Ciarleglio, Robert L. Como, Eric Khair Thimas, and the late Larry Lawler. The ceremony begins with a social hour at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 p.m. Attendance is limited to those with advance reservations, and the club is accepting payments for tickets at $65 per person.
