New Mexico Goatheads sign two players, reach double-digit roster

HockeyThe New Mexico Goatheads have signed forward Dakota Seaman and right winger Jake Chiasson, bringing their roster to 10 players for the 2026-27 season. The Goatheads are the ECHL affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche and will begin their inaugural campaign on October 16 at the Rio Rancho Events Center. Seaman, 24, played for the ECHL’s Tulsa Oilers last season, while 23-year-old Chiasson has experience in both the ECHL and AHL, having been drafted by the Edmonton Oilers in 2021. With a roster limit of 20 players, the Goatheads now have six forwards and four defensemen signed.
