New Mexico Highlands football ranked 6th in RMAC preseason poll

College SportsNew Mexico Highlands football has been selected to finish sixth in the ten-team Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference preseason coaches poll. The Cowboys, who ended last season with a 6-5 record and a 4-5 mark in RMAC play, garnered 38 points in the voting. Linebackers Dawson Chapman and Dontaivious Nelson were named to the preseason All-RMAC team. Defending champion CSU Pueblo is picked first, receiving eight first-place votes. NMHU will open its season on August 27, hosting Eastern New Mexico in Las Vegas, New Mexico.
