New Orleans Saints release Ronnie Bell after preseason finale performance

The New Orleans Saints released wide receiver Ronnie Bell on Saturday as the team reduced its roster to 53 players. The decision followed the team's 27-24 victory over the Dallas Cowboys on Friday, in which Bell recorded six receptions for 65 yards on seven targets. Bell converted four first downs during the game and received a 91.7 overall grade from Pro Football Focus. Despite a competitive performance in a crowded receiver room, the organization elected to release the 26-year-old. Bell remains a free agent following the transaction.
