New Orleans Saints waive rookie draft pick TJ Hall Jr

The New Orleans Saints waived cornerback TJ Hall Jr. on Saturday following the conclusion of the team's preseason schedule. Hall, a 2026 draft selection out of Iowa, played in all three preseason games for the team. During these appearances, he recorded 146 defensive snaps, primarily at the boundary corner position. While he contributed a pass breakup against the Los Angeles Rams, he also allowed nine receptions on 14 targets. Although the team waived him, reports suggest he remains a candidate to join the practice squad. The move follows a period of roster adjustments by the Saints as they evaluate their recent draft class and undrafted free agent signings.
